Experience Tai Chi Beginners Forms

Course Description

This course wll teach the Shibashi and lotus forms, tai chi walking and breathing and relaxation techniques to maximise the benefits that you get from Tai Chi.
These forms are basic and the class is suitable for anyone who isn’t familiar with these forms.
Forms learned will help improve coordination, balance and the ability to relax.

What you can hope to achieve

  • familiarity with the Shibashi and lotus forms
  • improved relaxation, balance and coordination
  • breathing to maximise the relaxation and benefits of any Tai Chi or Qi Gong form
  • improved body awareness, particularly of relaxation and tension in the body


  • no prior experience required. These forms can be modified to suit anyone, even people with poor balance and restricted mobility. If necessary the forms can be done sitting down.

What to bring

  • please wear comfortable, preferably loose-fitting clothing that allows freedom of movement

Please choose your course carefully. A full refund is payable in the event that a class is cancelled. No other refunds are considered except for extenuating circumstances which are supported by a written application.
